Insurance Information
How to get insurance to pay for massage:
Step 1. Call your insurance company and see if they will reimburse you for massage therapy treatments at a medical massage practice (not in a physical therapists office).
Ask what they need you to do so you can get this reimbursed.

Step 2. Often insurance companies will ask you to get a prescription from your doctor for massage therapy, and they may also ask you to send in a letter for to explain your situation or injury.

Step 3. Pay for one session out-of-pocket and we give you a specialized reimbursement form and receipt that you mail to your insurance company.

Step 4. Your insurance mails you a check reimbursing you within 2-4 weeks of mailing the form.

Step 5. We book your next appointment. We have clients that come in on a 3 or 4 week cycle and are reimbursed in between each cycle making their payment for massage $0.

Insurances that may provide reimbursement for massage are the "gold" or "premium" level tiers of Anthem BCBS, United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna, and Oxford.

State of Connecticut employees provided with the Anthem BCBS do not tend to have the benefit of massage therapy.
